The Netherlands has been pulling land from water for a thousand years. Centrumeiland and Strandeiland are two new islands reclaimed from the IJ, Amsterdam's ancient harbour lake. Here, people are building their lives and their neighbourhood at the same time, unpacking boxes while the cranes are still turning. This series is about what it means to call a place home before it is finished.
