«The Rhythm of Bos en Lommer»
This series was shot over the course of two years at the same location between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., capturing the vibrant tapestry of life in the Amsterdam suburb of Bos en Lommer through the simple act of cycling under a bridge.
These photos bring out the contrasts which coexist within the neighbourhood. Different ethnicities, ages, economic backgrounds, personal styles and ways of being. Some riders hurry past with purpose, others pedal slowly and attentively, while a few seem entirely absorbed in their own world.
