Airbnb Cornwall

In conversation with Cornish locals exploring the many facets of tourism in the region →

Cornwall’s economy has gone through a transition in the last 10 years. Tourism in the region has taken a big leap with more and more people visiting the area. Adding to this, many wealthy individuals from other corners of the UK have been buying up property as holiday homes, making it difficult for locals to get on the housing ladder. This has caused a large amount of negative sentiment from locals, aimed at Airbnb.

This campaign was designed to open an informed conversation amongst locals about the many facets of this very complex issue. It was important to explore both the negative as well as the positive aspects of this situation. The campaign also informed people about some of the measures that Airbnb was working on to protect their local communities.
